A tool that copies files from one location to another and optionally creates directories based on date at the destination. Download here.
I used Zoom Browser from Canon to download photographs from my digital camera. It has a nice UI and works well (at least for me). But then I bought CF card reader (PCMCIA sort) to transfer files quicker + it did not drain my camera. Now I go on without recharging for quite a while.
What I noticed immediately was that now I had a couple of funny folder named 109_CANON and DSC and when I copied the files, I had to manually create folder with dates (because I like that kind of ordering on my PC). So I wrote my own downloader because I did not find one on the net for free.
File downloader is useful for people with digital cameras, especially for those who transfer images via card reader to their PC. See date formatting help on how to best utilize the software.
